The homepage is a filter, not a brochure dump
First screen: who you help, in which city or mode (in-person / India-remote), and the next step. Second: three services, not seventeen. Third: proof. Footer: GSTIN, address, and the same CTA.
If every audience is on the homepage, no audience feels seen. Split ICPs onto service URLs. Architecture: landing vs full site.
What to delete first
Slider headlines that change every four seconds, “Welcome to X,” and a mission paragraph that could belong to any firm in the building.
Offer sentences that name the buyer
“GST filing for traders in Coimbatore who already have Tally” beats “holistic financial solutions.” Specificity is conversion. If you fear turning people away, you will attract the wrong WhatsApp at 23:00.
Write one sentence the founder would say on a call. Then cut the adjectives. That is the H1 candidate.
Who you are not for
A short “not a fit” line saves sales time and builds trust. We use it on discovery calls; your site can too.
Proof Indians believe
Named clients (with permission), photos of the actual premises, registrations, years, and specific outcomes. Handshake stock is anti-proof. Awards nobody has heard of are decoration.
Before-after is allowed when it is honest and not a medical miracle claim. Doctors: stay inside what you can defend. Exporters: show destinations and documentation you actually handle.
Numbers without theatre
“120 clinics launched on WhatsApp” is fine if true. “10,000+ happy customers” with a 14-month-old firm is a credibility tax.
Price, timeline, and process on the page
Publish starting fees or bands. Publish how long the first engagement takes. Publish the first three steps. Buyers are comparing you to a cousin’s WhatsApp quote; silence makes them assume you are expensive and slow.
Brevia’s own floors exist so the site does not dodge. You can still say “quoted after a call” if the work is scoped — say why.
Retainers versus OTP
If you sell monthly, say what happens each month. If you sell a project, say what is out of scope. Vague retainers create refund fights.
CTAs that match how people actually reach you
Button labels: “WhatsApp the clinic,” “Book a 20-minute call,” “Request a GST review” — not “Submit” or “Know more.” Place one CTA in the first screen and repeat after proof.
Do not run four equal buttons. Plumbing: forms, CRM, WhatsApp. Accessibility: named buttons, not icon-only — WCAG.
Office hours in the CTA block
“Replies by 11:00 next working day, IST” is more converting than “24×7 support” you cannot staff.
Tamil, Hindi, and the English that sounds like a bank ad
Write the language your closer will speak. Mixed pages are fine: English H1, Tamil FAQ, if staff can handle both. Machine-translated legal copy is how you make promises you cannot keep.
Avoid colonial brochure English. Short sentences. Indian examples. City names. Your buyer’s week, not “stakeholders in the ecosystem.”
Transliteration versus Tamil script
Script is better for search and access when the audience reads it. Transliteration helps some mobile users. Pick per page; do not sprinkle both in one H1.
Service pages that can rank and sell
One URL, one job. Answer the query, then convert. Internal links to related services and a honest FAQ. That is SEO and sales using the same outline.
Do not clone 12 city pages with the city name swapped. If you geo-target, add real facts (address, hours, photos). Thin city spam helps nobody.
FAQs that are real objections
“Do you visit our factory in Sriperumbudur?” beats “What is ISO?” if you are a consultant. Steal questions from WhatsApp, not from a generator.
Landing pages for ads are a different document
Repeat the ad promise, one offer, one CTA, proof, and a short form. No header maze. Landing vs website and Landing Pages from ₹7,500.
If the ad says “₹2,999 filing” and the page hides the price, you paid for angry clicks.
Message match in two languages
If the ad is Tamil, the first screen must be Tamil. Switching language mid-funnel feels like bait.
Trust blocks: GST, address, people
Show the office, the people, GSTIN if you invoice, and a map that works on mobile. That is copy plus design. Guide: GST-ready trust.
A faceless “team of experts” with stock faces is a warning sign in 2026. Use staff who consented.
Legal pages are not homepage copy
Privacy and terms belong in the footer. Do not lead the homepage with them. Do not skip them either.
How we write from Chennai without a novel
We interview for offers, refusals, proof, and SLA. We draft in the voice you actually speak. We will cut “synergy.” Timeline sits inside how long a build takes when copy is late — late copy is the usual delay.
Book consultation with two testimonials and a price band. Contact if you only need a homepage rewrite scope.
Copy after launch
Replace the first CTA if Clarity shows rage clicks. That is operations, not a rebrand. Analytics: what to track.
